Let me tell you something that’s really close to the heart of Texas right now — the Hill Country has been hit hard by devastating floods, and the music community is stepping up in a powerful way. A major event has just been announced: the Applause for the Cause benefit concert is set to take place on August 28 at none other than Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels. And trust me, this is not just any show — it’s a lineup packed with legends and rising stars alike, all coming together for one cause: helping Texans recover.

Robert Earl Keen, Texas music royalty and a Kerrville local, is headlining the concert. This isn’t just a performance — this is personal for him. His ties to the area are deep, and he’s been vocal since day one about the need to rally support. Alongside him will be a star-studded cast that reads like a dream lineup: Tyler Childers, Miranda Lambert, Cody Jinks, Hayes Carll, Jack Ingram, Jon Randall, Jamey Johnson, and more — even Cross Canadian Ragweed is reuniting for this. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of talent.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 18 at noon. Reserved seats are $200, and general admission is $99. Every single dollar raised will go directly to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, which is already working on the ground to support families with food, shelter, hydration, and other emergency services.

What’s also special is how Texas favorite Buc-ee’s is stepping up alongside Keen as a partner in the event. Buc-ee’s founder Beaver Aplin put it best: “The tragedies are beyond belief.” And that’s why the support has to be just as big. These aren’t just concerts — they’re lifelines.

Keen even donated two premium tables to another flood relief auction just last week, which helped raise over $400,000. That’s the kind of commitment we’re talking about.

The show is expected to kick off mid-afternoon and stretch well into the night. So if you're a fan of great music and even greater causes, this is your moment. Let’s show the Hill Country they’re not in this alone. Whitewater Amphitheater is about to echo with not just music, but with heart, hope, and true Texas spirit.
