WWE Evolution 2025 Delivers a Thunderous Return to All-Women’s Wrestling

WWE Evolution 2025 just went down in Atlanta, Georgia, and let me tell you—this event was nothing short of historic. It marked the first time in seven years that WWE brought back its all-women’s pay-per-view, and despite some of the concerns and chatter leading up to it, Evolution II proved that women’s wrestling can still headline, steal the show, and absolutely deliver.

We had seven explosive matches on the card, and nearly every women’s championship was on the line. Right off the bat, the vibe in State Farm Arena was electric, and fans knew they were in for a night to remember. One of the most anticipated matches of the night was Rhea Ripley versus Iyo Sky for the Women’s World Championship. This has been one of the most personal and heated rivalries in recent WWE memory. Ripley had never defeated Sky one-on-one, and the stakes were sky-high—pun intended. The energy was intense, the storytelling rich, and the crowd was fully locked in.

Then came the No Holds Barred match with Jade Cargill and Naomi. Special guest referee Bianca Belair added an extra layer of intensity. This wasn’t just a match—it was a fight. Jade showed off her raw power, Naomi countered with speed and agility, and Belair kept the chaos in check. It was a brutal, brilliant spectacle that reminded everyone why these women are some of the most dynamic performers in WWE today.

Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Lyra Valkyria went to war in a triple-threat match for the Intercontinental Championship. Lynch—who was the face of the original Evolution in 2018—came out like a seasoned vet with something to prove. And prove it she did. The chemistry in the ring, the pacing, the reversals—everything just clicked.

And let’s not forget the return of Trish Stratus. She challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship, and although Stratton retained, Trish looked like she never missed a beat. It was surreal to see a legend mix it up with one of the division’s brightest new stars. It felt like a true “passing of the torch” moment.

The tag team scene also popped off, with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez defending their titles in a fatal 4-way. Tag teams like The Kabuki Warriors, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and newcomers Sol Ruca & Zaria brought a different flavor to the night. The action was non-stop and gave every team a spotlight.

Even NXT was represented, with Jacy Jayne retaining her title against Jordynne Grace. This match showed how deep the talent runs across all WWE brands.

Despite the controversy surrounding its promotion, Evolution 2025 was a win. A huge one. It reminded the world—and maybe WWE itself—that women's wrestling is not a side act or a nostalgia show. It’s main event material, plain and simple. If WWE is smart, they’ll make Evolution a yearly staple again. Because the fans showed up. The wrestlers showed out. And the future of women’s wrestling? It looks absolutely unstoppable.
