CNE Food Truck Frenzy Returns with Exciting New Eats
Hey everyone! Have you heard the news? The Canadian National Exhibition, or CNE as most of us call it, is back this year and it’s bringing some seriously tasty treats with it. The CNE has been a staple in Toronto for over a century—146 years to be exact—and it always manages to surprise us with fun events, rides, and, of course, food.
One of the highlights that people are really excited about is the Food Truck Frenzy. For those who haven’t experienced it before, this is basically a parade of food trucks lined up along Princes’ Boulevard, just inside Princes’ Gate. It’s a chance to sample dishes from all kinds of cuisines in one spot, and this year, it’s bigger and better than ever. A total of six new food trucks have joined the lineup, bringing the total variety to about 25 different bites to try.
Some of the new trucks are bringing unique flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. La Fiesta Catering Unique Inc. is a family-run business specializing in Ecuadorian fusion cuisine, promising dishes full of bold flavors and creativity. Twisted Gourmet & Co. from Yukon is known for their small-batch seasonings, while Jerk Brothers adds a Caribbean twist to traditional favorites. Potato Bar Inc. will be serving up hand-cut fries and smoked potatoes, and Today is Cheat Day and JB’s Food Truck are rounding out the new additions with indulgent treats perfect for fairgoers looking to splurge a little.

The trucks will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. starting August 16, so there’s plenty of time to explore and sample everything. And if you’re a fan of craft beer, you’re in luck—CNE will also host its Craft Beerfest alongside the Food Truck Frenzy. Breweries like Cowbell Brewing Co., Steam Whistle, and Union Craft will be pouring their best beers, making it a perfect combination for food and drink lovers.
But the culinary fun doesn’t stop at food trucks. For the first time ever in Canada, the CNE is offering “Dinner in the Sky.” This is a ticketed experience where diners are lifted 150 feet in the air and served a multi-course meal prepared right in front of them. With 360-degree views of the Midway, it’s a dining experience that’s been designed to be unforgettable. Each session seats up to 22 guests, and tickets start at $110 per person.
So, whether you’re a foodie eager to try new flavors, a beer enthusiast, or just someone looking for a fun day out in Toronto, the CNE Food Truck Frenzy has something for everyone. And don’t forget—this year, free admission is offered during select hours, making it easier than ever to join the festivities. The fair runs from August 15 to September 1, so there’s no excuse to miss it!
It’s safe to say that this year’s CNE is shaping up to be one of the most delicious and exciting yet. Make sure your appetite is ready, because there’s a lot to taste and enjoy!
