Emilie Kiser Speaks Out After Son Trigg’s Tragic Drowning
Emilie Kiser has broken her silence about the heartbreaking loss of her 3-year-old son, Trigg, who tragically drowned in May. In an emotional statement shared on Instagram and TikTok, Emilie described the grief her family has been carrying, calling it “a void that no family should ever have to endure.”
Back on May 18, Trigg passed away after what police described as an accidental drowning. Just days earlier, he had been pulled from the family’s backyard pool in Chandler, Arizona. According to reports, he tripped on an inflatable chair and fell into the water. Surveillance footage later revealed that he had been outside alone for about 10 minutes, and in the water for seven. At the time, Emilie’s husband, Brady, was home with Trigg and their newborn son, Theodore. Distracted by the baby, Brady lost sight of Trigg in what quickly became the family’s worst nightmare.
In her statement, Emilie remembered Trigg as “our baby and our best friend,” someone whose joy and light filled every moment of their lives. She admitted that living without him feels unbearable, and the pain of losing him so suddenly has been overwhelming. “It’s a pain, heartache, and void that no family should ever have to endure,” she wrote.

Emilie also took responsibility as his mother, saying she will forever carry the lesson that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life. She expressed her hope that sharing Trigg’s story might prevent other families from facing such a devastating loss.
The 26-year-old content creator, known for her lifestyle and family vlogs, also addressed her role online. With more than 4 million TikTok followers and nearly 2 million on Instagram, she admitted that while her platform has been a source of community and creativity, it has also exposed her family to unwanted scrutiny. Moving forward, she said she will be setting clearer boundaries, especially around her children’s privacy, while still expressing gratitude for the compassion and patience shown by her audience during this period of grief.
The months following Trigg’s passing have been filled with both legal battles and emotional challenges. Police initially recommended a felony child abuse charge against Brady, but prosecutors later decided not to pursue it. Emilie also sought to keep certain records about her son’s death private, though parts of the case were eventually made public.
Through it all, Emilie has emphasized that the only way forward is moment by moment—minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. Her closing words in the statement were filled with thanks, directed at those who have given her family space and compassion as they navigate unimaginable pain.
Trigg’s memory, Emilie says, will continue to guide her, not only as a mother but also as a voice for awareness, hoping his story serves as a reminder of both the fragility of life and the importance of safety.
