John Metchie Joins Super Bowl Champs, Reunites with Former Alabama Teammates
Big news out of the NFL this week—John Metchie III, the former Alabama wide receiver, has been traded to the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. This move was officially reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and it’s already creating a lot of buzz because Metchie isn’t just joining any team—he’s reuniting with a familiar face from his college days, DeVonta Smith. For Alabama fans, this is kind of like seeing old friends back together, but now on the biggest stage of professional football.
