Lainey Wilson Brings Whirlwind Tour Back to Australia in 2026

Country music fans are in for a treat – Grammy-winning artist Lainey Wilson is making her return to Australia in February 2026, and she’s not coming alone. As part of her massive Whirlwind world tour, named after her chart-topping fifth studio album, Wilson will be performing six big arena shows across most major capital cities. And if that’s not enough, she’s also headlining the popular Howlin’ Country Festival in Newcastle on Valentine’s Day.

The Australian leg will kick off in Brisbane on February 11, before heading to Newcastle for the festival, then Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and wrapping up in Perth on February 26. On every stop, Wilson will be joined by fellow American country acts Flatland Cavalry and Kaitlin Butts, who will both be making their Australian debut.

The Newcastle Foreshore will be buzzing on February 14 when Howlin’ Country returns for its second year. Alongside Wilson, fans can expect performances from Morgan Evans, Adam Newling, and Tyla Rodrigues, with more artists still to be announced. Festival promoter Moe Matthew says the event is “100 per cent locally owned and operated,” with a strong focus on supporting the Newcastle community by using local vendors, hiring local staff, and showcasing homegrown talent. Last year’s festival drew a crowd of over 12,000 and was headlined by Tyler Childers, so expectations are high for 2026.
