So, the 2025 Logie Awards have just wrapped up and what a night it was—especially for Lynne McGranger, who finally took home the coveted Gold Logie after more than three decades on Home and Away . Yep, after 33 years of playing the beloved Irene Roberts, Lynne was not only honored with the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality, but also picked up her very first Logie for Best Lead Actress in a Drama earlier in the night.

She was visibly moved during her acceptance, saying this shiny trophy would sit proudly next to her 1974 Wagga Wagga Drama Festival Best Actress award. In true Lynne fashion, she joked about being better at acting than teaching—reminding everyone of just how grounded and lovable she is. And she made a point to thank the fans who keep free-to-air TV alive, asking them to keep watching and supporting the industry that’s supported her.

The ceremony opened with Jimmy Barnes rocking out to Working Class Man , setting the tone for a night that blended glamour with laughs. Host Sam Pang nailed the monologue, with zingers aimed at reality TV and shoutouts to Bluey , which, by the way, is now the most-streamed kids' show globally. There were cheeky nods to Farmer Wants a Wife , MAFS , and even a joke about Andrew O'Keefe—Pang held back nothing.

On the ABC front, it was a total sweep. Fisk was the big comedy winner, bagging awards across every major acting category, including Kitty Flanagan and Aaron Chen. Glenn Butcher and Julia Zemiro also won for their supporting roles, cementing Fisk as a comedy powerhouse. And then there was Muster Dogs , a surprise win for Best Structured Reality Program, leaving Lisa Millar genuinely speechless.

Australian Story took out Best Current Affairs Program, and Four Corners was awarded for Betrayal of Trust , a powerful investigation into childcare standards. Leigh Sales and Adele Ferguson both accepted on behalf of their teams with heartfelt speeches about the importance of quality journalism.

In one of the most emotional moments of the night, Magda Szubanski was inducted into the Hall of Fame via video, revealing her stage 4 blood cancer diagnosis. Fighting back tears, she spoke about the overwhelming support from the public, saying it had given her strength. Her message was honest, raw, and deeply moving—earning a standing ovation.

Another standout was Jelena Dokic, who won Best Factual Program for Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story . She gave a heartfelt speech and paid tribute to Todd Woodbridge for believing in her when she didn’t believe in herself. And fittingly, Todd himself won the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

So yeah, the 2025 Logies had it all—glitz, laughs, tears, and a whole lot of love for Australian television.
