So, here’s what’s been unfolding over the past few days—it's a story that’s as heartbreaking as it is moving. Luc Bourgeois, a 34-year-old man from New Brunswick, had been missing since July 24 after setting off alone in his kayak from the Pointe-du-Chêne wharf in Shediac. His disappearance triggered an intense search effort that involved not only the official authorities—like the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax, the Canadian Coast Guard, and the RCMP—but also an entire community that simply refused to give up.
Sadly, Luc’s body has now been found. His family made the emotional announcement on social media, and although the exact location and circumstances surrounding the discovery weren’t disclosed, the overwhelming emotion in their message made one thing clear: they were both devastated and deeply moved by the outpouring of support from the community.
