Tool, Weezer & Garbage Lead an Epic Good Things 2025
Good Things Festival 2025 is shaping up to be one of the loudest, most unforgettable weekends of the year. This December, the East Coast will once again shake under the weight of guitars, drums, and voices from some of the most iconic names in rock, metal, punk, and everything in between. And topping the bill? Three absolute giants — Tool, Weezer, and Garbage.
Tool’s return is a big deal. They haven’t played in Australia since February 2020, right before the pandemic hit, and this will be their first time headlining an Aussie festival since 2011’s Big Day Out. Fans know that a Tool show isn’t just music — it’s an overwhelming spectacle. Complex rhythms, surreal visuals, Maynard James Keenan’s hypnotic presence — it’s a full sensory experience that leaves you buzzing for days.
Weezer will bring a completely different but equally thrilling vibe. If you missed them in 2023, here’s your chance to belt out “Buddy Holly,” “Island In The Sun,” “Say It Ain’t So,” and their famously fun cover of Toto’s “Africa.” Over the years, they’ve evolved from quirky “geek rock” heroes to stadium-sized singalong machines — and the setlist will be packed with hits.

Garbage’s appearance is just as special. It’s their first visit since 2016, and they’re arriving with a brand-new album, Let All That We Imagine Be the Light . Shirley Manson, fully recovered and in fierce form, will deliver the stylish, dark anthems that made them 90s and 2000s icons — “Stupid Girl,” “Cherry Lips,” “I Think I’m Paranoid,” and more.
And that’s just the headliners. Good Things 2025 also brings a farewell show from Swedish hardcore legends Refused, who announced they’re calling it quits. Machine Head, All Time Low, New Found Glory, The All-American Rejects, Knocked Loose, Cobra Starship, Goldfinger, Lorna Shore, and Gwar — with their outrageous costumes and chaotic stage antics — will also take the stage.
Australian talent is proudly represented with Make Them Suffer, Tonight Alive, Civic, Windwaker, Yours Truly, and a surprise nostalgic twist: James Reyne, ready to get the crowd singing along to pub rock classics like “Reckless” and “The Boys Light Up.”
It’s not just about the music either. Stage 666 returns with circus acts, fire-breathing, sword-swallowing, punk rock clowns, and a live karaoke tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
The party kicks off December 5 in Melbourne, hits Sydney on the 6th, and wraps in Brisbane on the 7th. Tickets go on sale August 21 at 10am AEST, and with a lineup like this, they won’t last long.
This isn’t just a festival — it’s a once-in-a-year gathering of music lovers ready to scream, sing, mosh, and make memories that’ll echo long after the amps are turned off.
