Labor Day 2025: What’s Open, Closed, and What You Need to Know

This also goes for most banks. While branches won’t be open today, ATMs and digital banking services will continue running as usual, so any urgent transactions can still be handled.
When it comes to mail and deliveries, the U.S. Postal Service will not deliver regular mail or packages today. Only priority mail is being processed. Similarly, FedEx and UPS have suspended their normal operations for the holiday, although critical deliveries are still being made. Government offices are mostly closed. As for libraries and other public facilities, all West Florida Public Library locations are closed, along with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Some grocery stores, like Stop & Shop and Market Basket, remain open, but larger warehouses such as Costco are closed for the day.
