Post Malone’s London Shows Postponed Amid Tube Strikes
Fans in London were gearing up for a massive weekend with Post Malone at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but plans have just taken a dramatic turn. The American superstar, who’s been touring the globe on his Big Ass World Tour, has had to postpone his London dates because of the widespread Tube strikes set to bring the city to a standstill.

Originally, Posty was scheduled to perform on Sunday, September 7, and Monday, September 8, with Jelly Roll joining as a special guest. The shows were meant to be a highlight of his European run, which is entering its final stretch before wrapping up in Lisbon on September 14. Tickets had been in huge demand, with Sunday already sold out and Monday still offering some last-minute availability through official sellers. Fans were ready to hear him belt out hits like Better Now , Circles , Sunflower , and his latest favorite Texas Tea .
But transport disruption has forced a change of plans. Live Nation, the ticketing platform, confirmed that the gigs could not safely go ahead because of the travel chaos expected during the strikes. With no Tube services running on Monday and only a limited service on Sunday, organizers decided it would be nearly impossible for tens of thousands of fans to get to and from the stadium. The company said it had been “forced” into rescheduling the shows, stressing that the decision wasn’t taken lightly.
The strikes, called by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union, will involve drivers, signallers, and maintenance staff walking out over pay and working conditions. The union is pushing for a 32-hour working week alongside a pay rise—something Transport for London has already rejected as “neither practical nor affordable” given its £13 billion debt. TfL had offered a 3.4 percent pay increase, but talks have reached a stalemate. Officials have warned that the strikes will hit not only the Underground but also some Docklands Light Railway services.
For Post Malone’s fans, this news is disappointing, but not all is lost. The concerts are being rescheduled, and ticket holders are expected to be updated soon with new dates. Until then, the excitement will just have to be put on pause.
The timing couldn’t have been more frustrating: Posty’s shows were lining up perfectly with London’s late-summer buzz. Fans had been advised to pack for mixed weather, with forecasts of sun, clouds, and the occasional shower. Travel guidance had already been issued, pointing fans toward the Overground, Elizabeth Line, and Greater Anglia services to reach the stadium. But with the Tube—the city’s main artery—shut down, the logistics became unmanageable.
Still, if there’s one thing Post Malone’s fans know, it’s that the wait will be worth it. Once the strikes are resolved and new dates are announced, London will finally get its chance to sing along with him under the lights of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Until then, it’s just a matter of patience, planning, and maybe humming Circles on the commute while waiting for the big night to come back around.
