Target Launches Circle Week and Holiday Deals with Faster Delivery
Target is making some big moves this year, and shoppers are about to feel it. The company has confirmed that its second Target Circle Week of 2025 will run from October 5 through October 11. Now, what’s interesting here is that this week of deals overlaps with Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, happening October 7 and 8. But instead of cramming everything into a two-day rush, Target is giving customers a longer window to browse and shop, which feels a lot less stressful.
What makes Circle Week stand out is accessibility. While Amazon requires a paid Prime membership to unlock its sale prices, Target’s version is totally free to join. All you need is a Target Circle account, and suddenly, thousands of discounts are open to you. This levels the playing field, and for many families, that free access is a huge perk. Deals typically cover big-name brands like Apple, Ninja, and Shark, plus wide-ranging discounts on essentials, home goods, and tech. Target also has a habit of sweetening the pot with bonus gift card offers, giving you $5 or $10 back on purchases you were probably going to make anyway.
But the bigger picture here is that Circle Week isn’t just about snagging a blender or a new TV. It’s really the kickoff to Target’s broader holiday season strategy, which is being taken up a notch this year. Target announced it will debut 20,000 new items for the holidays, twice as many as last year. More than half of those products are exclusive to the retailer, with thousands of gifts starting at just $5 and most staying under $20. Early shoppers will get access to fall fashion, décor, and stocking-stuffer-style gifts well before the Black Friday frenzy begins.

Starting November 1, the momentum will continue with weekly deals and even a “Deal of the Day” that offers up to 50% off select items. Collections inspired by pop culture favorites like Netflix’s Stranger Things and Universal’s Wicked: For Good are also being added to the lineup. It’s a strategy that blends affordability with trend-savvy exclusives, designed to keep shoppers excited from October straight through December.
And delivery is getting a serious upgrade too. Target is expanding its next-day service to 35 major U.S. metro areas by the end of October, which means more than half the population will have access. Same-day delivery already covers 80% of the country, and two-day shipping reaches 99%. Faster fulfillment is clearly being used as a way to compete head-on with Amazon’s well-known speed.
So, whether it’s early holiday prep or just everyday essentials, Target is setting itself up as a strong alternative to Prime Day this fall. With longer sale windows, free membership perks, thousands of affordable gifts, and quicker delivery, it looks like this holiday season is going to be one of Target’s most aggressive — and possibly most convenient — shopping campaigns yet.
