The Celebrity Traitors 2025 is Coming This October
This autumn, one of the most talked-about reality game shows is getting a brand-new twist. Yes, The Celebrity Traitors is officially on its way, and it’s set to land on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this October 2025. While the BBC hasn’t revealed the exact start date just yet, it has been confirmed that we won’t have long to wait before the star-studded version begins.
For those who’ve followed the original series, the concept will feel very familiar. Just like with the civilian edition, Claudia Winkleman will be leading the charge once again, cloaked in her trademark glamour and sharp wit. She’ll gather the contestants inside the dramatic castle setting, select the Traitors in secret, and then set the game in motion. The Faithfuls will have to outwit and outlast the Traitors, while the Traitors will quietly plot their downfall. The tension, suspicion, and betrayals that viewers love will all be there—but this time with a cast full of household names.

With 19 celebrities in total, the casting team has made sure there’s a broad range of personalities—people who not only bring fame but also a genuine love for the show. Now, the big difference between the celebrity edition and the regular one lies in the prize. On the civilian version, players compete for up to £120,000 to take home. But here, the celebrities won’t be playing for themselves. Instead, they’ll be competing for a £100,000 prize that will go to a charity of their choice. That twist adds another layer of interest because while the deception and backstabbing will remain, the end goal is to win money for a good cause.
As for the episodes, viewers can expect a slightly shorter run than the civilian version—nine episodes instead of twelve. The schedule is expected to follow the familiar rhythm, with episodes airing on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings. That means the drama will unfold quickly, and audiences will be left buzzing from one cliffhanger to the next.
Claudia Winkleman herself has joked that the celebrities won’t be given an easy ride. She’s already said they won’t just be sitting around eating toast in the castle. Instead, they’ll face the same challenges, mind games, and high-pressure situations that made the show a phenomenon in the first place.
