Lamar Jackson Returns with a Roar as Ravens Crush Dolphins 28–6

It was quite the night in Miami Gardens as Lamar Jackson made his long-awaited return — and what a statement he made! After missing three games with a hamstring injury, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback reminded everyone why he’s a two-time NFL MVP, leading his team to a dominant 28–6 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

The Ravens, who had been struggling earlier this season, looked completely revitalized. Jackson threw four touchdown passes — yes, four — and completed 18 of his 23 attempts for 204 yards without a single interception. It was as if he’d never missed a beat. Though he admitted to feeling “a little bit rusty” early on, it didn’t take long for him to find his rhythm and command the game.

His chemistry with tight end Mark Andrews was as strong as ever. Andrews caught two of those touchdown passes in the first half, setting the tone for what turned out to be a one-sided affair. Then, Jackson connected with Charlie Kolar in the third quarter to cap off a precise 11-play, 68-yard drive, and later found Rashod Bateman for his fourth and final touchdown of the night.

It was clear that Baltimore’s offense was firing again, but their defense also deserves huge credit. The Ravens completely shut down the Dolphins’ attack, allowing only two field goals all game. Miami just couldn’t find their footing — and with this loss, they’ve now dropped four of their last five games, sitting at a disappointing 2–7 record.

On the other hand, Baltimore’s win brings them to 3–5, and suddenly, their season doesn’t look so bleak. They’ve now secured back-to-back wins and are eyeing what could be a historic turnaround. Only a handful of teams in NFL history have reached the playoffs after losing five of their first six games, but with Jackson back under center, the Ravens believe they can be the next to do it.

Running back Derrick Henry also had a big night, rushing for 119 yards on 19 carries. That performance pushed him past the 12,000-yard career mark — a milestone achieved by only 17 players in NFL history. After the game, Henry said it felt even more special because Jackson’s comeback happened in his hometown. “It probably gave him a little more juice,” he said with a grin.

It’s fair to say Baltimore’s season just got a jolt of energy. With Jackson healthy and leading the charge, the Ravens suddenly look like the dangerous, well-balanced team fans expected from the start. And if this game is any sign of what’s ahead, the rest of the league better be ready — because the Ravens are flying again.
