McDonald’s Leaked Global Menu Sparks Excitement and Debate
It looks like McDonald’s is about to shake things up in a big way. A leaked menu has been circulating online, and if the rumours are true, nine brand-new items are coming to the UK for the first time on October 22. What makes this so exciting is that these aren’t just any new items — they’re inspired by McDonald’s favourites from all around the world. Fans are already calling it the chain’s “most exciting menu yet,” and for good reason.
Normally, McDonald’s adds just a couple of new dishes when it updates its menu, so the idea of nine global-inspired items arriving at once feels huge. The leaked list includes: Black Pepper & Garlic McNuggets, Pineapple McSpicy, Sour Cream Shaker Fries, Mac & Cheese Triangles, Maple BBQ & Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Chocolate Caramel Pie, Chocolate Pretzel McFlurry, Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, and even a Sakura Mixology drink. Each of these has been available in other countries, but never before in the UK.

Take the Maple BBQ & Bacon Quarter Pounder, for example. It’s usually a Canadian favourite, stacked with smoky bacon, crispy onions, cheese, pickles, and a rich maple BBQ sauce. Or the Sakura Mixology drink, inspired by Japan’s cherry blossom season, with fruity cherry flavours and sometimes a swirl of ice cream on top. Then there are the Sour Cream Shaker Fries from Spain, which come with a little bag and flavour powder so you can shake them yourself. Even the McFlurries are getting a twist, with crunchy pretzel bits mixed into the ice cream and topped with caramel.
Foodies and fans online have been buzzing. Instagram food bloggers broke the news, and supposed McDonald’s employees on Reddit have hinted that the launch is part of a campaign called “World Heist.” The idea is to bring iconic international items into the UK market, and many people see it as a smart response to complaints that McDonald’s menus have felt too repetitive.
The reactions, however, haven’t been entirely one-sided. Plenty of fans are thrilled, saying they “can’t wait to try everything” and calling it the “best menu yet.” Others are a little more skeptical, describing some of the options as “strange” or even “disgusting.” Still, the sheer variety of flavours — from sweet pies to spicy chicken and savoury nuggets — has definitely got people talking.
McDonald’s hasn’t officially confirmed the leaked menu, but the company hasn’t denied it either. With anticipation building, October 22 could be a big day for fast food fans in the UK. Whether these global favourites become permanent staples or just a short-lived experiment, one thing is certain: McDonald’s is getting people excited again. And in the fast-food world, that’s half the battle won.
