Sofia Vergara’s Sister Sandra Sets the Record Straight on “Selling Sunset” Drama
The reality TV world has been buzzing lately, and this time, it’s not about luxury listings or million-dollar deals — it’s about an accusation that took everyone by surprise. Sandra Vergara, who recently joined the cast of Selling Sunset and happens to be Sofia Vergara’s sister, is speaking out after being accused by Chrishell Stause of something pretty shocking — allegedly keying her assistant’s car.
Now, Sandra isn’t holding back in clearing her name. In an exclusive chat with Us Weekly ahead of Selling Sunset ’s Season 9 release, she was quick to deny the claim, saying, “I never keyed anybody’s car. Let’s set the record straight.” Sandra explained that the story got twisted because Chrishell’s assistant was actually her former neighbor — someone Sandra described as “very problematic.” According to Sandra, the car incident did happen, but she insists she had nothing to do with it. She even hinted that she might know who did it, but she’s keeping that part to herself.

Despite the drama, Sandra made it clear that she doesn’t like speaking badly about anyone, noting that it goes against her spiritual beliefs. Still, she felt she needed to defend herself. Things escalated when Chrishell reportedly began keeping her distance from Sandra after hearing her assistant’s story, which left Sandra emotional and confused. “I came in with an open heart,” she said, explaining that she just wanted to fit in and understand the group’s dynamic — but instead found herself caught in a rumor that had nothing to do with her.
Even fellow cast member Mary Bonnet weighed in on the situation during a recent episode of Radio Andy’s “Reality Checked,” saying she thought “Chrishell came after her a bit,” referring to Sandra. That comment only added more fuel to the already simmering tension among the Selling Sunset stars.
Sandra admitted that joining the show midseason made things more difficult. She said she didn’t come from the same Hollywood or reality TV world as her castmates and was still finding her footing. Initially, she avoided watching the earlier seasons to form her own opinions — but eventually decided to binge them, saying, “I understand why certain people have anger toward each other, but honestly, it’s all very unnecessary.”
When it comes to her famous family, Sandra revealed that she didn’t even tell them about her appearance on the show until after filming was done. Her nephew, Manolo — Sofia Vergara’s son — is apparently obsessed with Selling Sunset and was the only one she confided in. “He told me, ‘You have to do it!’” Sandra laughed.
Now, with the new season streaming on Netflix, Sandra seems ready for viewers to see her side of the story — without the drama, just the truth. Whether this feud cools off or heats up again, one thing’s for sure: the glamorous chaos of Selling Sunset just got a whole lot more interesting.
