The countdown is almost over for PlayStation fans, because Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch on November 14, 2025, for both PS5 and PS4. Set in the near future of 2035, the game plunges players into a world teetering on the edge of chaos, packed with high-stakes missions, returning characters, and brand-new threats. Once the first 11 co-op Campaign missions are completed, players unlock the Endgame—a dynamic, replayable co-op mode designed for 1–32 players in squads of up to four. Here, the action escalates as squads fight through exposure zones in Avalon, level up their Combat Ratings, complete Assignments, and unlock Weapon Camos while earning Level and Weapon XP. The goal is to gain enough power to tackle the highest exposure zones, where a dangerous toxin is leaking into the city.
Players customize their loadouts through the C-Link C.O.M.B.A.T. OS, choosing an Operator, Major and Minor Abilities, and weapons. Abilities like the Hand Cannon, Grappling Hook, and Active Camo allow for unique combat strategies. As objectives are completed and enemies defeated, Combat Ratings increase, unlocking six Skill Tracks ranging from the Gunner, focused on improved reload speed and weapon swaps, to the Surgeon, enhancing health recovery and revive speed. But the Endgame is unforgiving: if a player is killed, all progress is lost, adding a tense, high-stakes edge to every encounter.
The story driving this adventure sees the return of Menendez, the villain from Black Ops 2 . After a history of betrayal and revenge spanning decades, Menendez resurfaces, threatening global stability once again. Opposing him is The Guild, a tech conglomerate led by Emma Kagan, which claims to protect humanity through advanced technology. Yet doubts linger for David Mason, Alex Mason’s son, and his elite JSOC team as they uncover the truth behind The Guild and the terrifying weapon that manipulates fear.
