Elizabeth Hurley Shares Her ‘Natural and Easy’ Romance with Billy Ray Cyrus
Elizabeth Hurley has opened up about her relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus, describing it as one of the most natural and easy connections she’s ever experienced. The actress and model, who turned 60 this year, spoke candidly about how her bond with the country music star, 64, began and how seamlessly he has become part of her life.
In a recent conversation on LYMA’s Power Women series, Hurley revealed that she had been single for quite a long time and was genuinely content with her life. She admitted that she wasn’t actively looking for love when Billy Ray came along. “I had been really single for a really long time and, to be honest, I was pretty happy,” she said. “So when I met Billy, even though I didn’t really know I wanted to meet someone, it felt incredibly comfortable and natural from the first second.”

Their relationship, which began earlier this year, has quickly grown stronger. Hurley said that despite being set up with different people over the years, nothing had ever felt right — until now. “I’d much rather stay at home with the dogs than force something that doesn’t feel genuine,” she added with a laugh.
The couple has already shared memorable moments together. Billy Ray spent the entire summer at Hurley’s countryside estate in Herefordshire, England, and she’s now preparing to host him for his very first English Christmas. She shared that her family gatherings are cozy, full of laughter, and very traditional. “We eat too much, watch TV, walk the dogs, and probably consume far too many Quality Street chocolates,” she said. “All I want for Christmas is for Billy to love it, enjoy it, and feel completely at home.”
Their bond isn’t just about shared affection — it’s also about shared humor. Hurley joked in an interview with The Sunday Times that she refuses to go grocery shopping with Billy Ray because “he would be annoying,” explaining that he usually stays in the car. She even confessed to cutting his famously fuzzy hair herself, laughing that they have “so much hair between us, we’re in constant danger of choking on hairballs.”
Both stars have also embraced each other’s families. Hurley’s son, Damian, has met Billy’s daughter, pop icon Miley Cyrus, and the actress said that everyone gets along beautifully. “Everyone loves everyone — it’s lovely,” she remarked.
Their romance, which first became public on Easter Sunday 2025 when Hurley shared a sweet photo of Billy kissing her cheek, seems to have brought joy to both of them. As Billy himself put it earlier this year, it’s been “a beautiful thing — no expectations, just happiness.”
Now, with the holidays approaching, Elizabeth Hurley says her only wish is for a peaceful, happy Christmas filled with laughter — and, of course, one very content Billy Ray Cyrus enjoying his first festive season in the English countryside.
