Kate has been very open about how the last couple of years have been unbelievably tough for her family. Both her mother, Judy Loe, and her stepfather Roy passed away within 18 months of each other, and she’s admitted that the grief has often left her feeling completely paralysed.

She described how he went to the bathroom, discovered what looked like an egg, and was absolutely terrified. A week later, Lily texted her saying, “He’s done it again.” Kate even showed a photo of one of the mysterious eggs, leaving Jimmy Kimmel stunned and joking that he must secretly be the Easter Bunny.
Kate said she threw herself into the mystery, mostly because she desperately needed a distraction from everything that had gone wrong. And for a moment, this strange, silly situation was exactly what pulled her out of her grief, at least temporarily.
