Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and Guns N’ Roses to Headline Download 2026
The 2026 Download Festival is already shaping up to be one of the biggest rock events in years, with a line-up that reads like a dream for metal and rock fans. Set to take place from June 10th to 14th at Donington Park in Leicestershire, the festival will feature over 90 bands, headlined by three massive names — Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and Guns N’ Roses.
This announcement has sent a wave of excitement through the rock and metal community. For Linkin Park, this appearance will mark a powerful return to the Download stage. It’s also their first time headlining since reforming with Emily Armstrong as the new co-lead vocalist. The band, known for blending nu-metal with raw emotion, has been through an emotional transformation since the tragic passing of Chester Bennington in 2017. Their reunion and recent world tour have reignited both nostalgia and debate among fans. While some were critical of Emily’s involvement — partly due to her alleged ties to the Church of Scientology — others have praised the band’s courage to evolve while honoring their legacy.

Limp Bizkit, meanwhile, will make their long-awaited debut as Download headliners. After years of fan demand and a triumphant showing at the 2024 festival, the nu-metal icons are finally stepping up to lead Friday night’s show. Their upcoming set is expected to be an explosive celebration of their career, though it will carry emotional weight following the recent passing of founding bassist Sam Rivers.
On Saturday night, rock legends Guns N’ Roses will take the stage, marking their first Donington headline slot in eight years. The band remains in high demand worldwide and is currently on a massive global tour. Their recent surprise appearance at Ozzy Osbourne’s final live show reminded everyone why they remain rock royalty.
But the excitement doesn’t stop with the headliners. The rest of the line-up spans a huge range of genres — from heavy hitters like Trivium, Mastodon, and Architects, to crossover acts such as Pendulum, Cypress Hill, and BABYMETAL. Indie favorites Feeder and Ash are also joining the weekend mix, alongside Tom Morello, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and even Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar.
Download 2026 promises not just music but a full-scale experience. The festival’s official theme this year — “The Apex Rings” — was revealed during an elaborate launch at London’s Barbican, complete with live string performances, fortune tellers, and immersive storytelling.
With over 90 acts already confirmed and more surprises yet to come, Download 2026 is shaping up to be a monumental celebration of everything rock and metal stand for — passion, rebellion, and community. Tickets are already on sale, and judging by the buzz, Donington Park will once again become the epicenter of rock next summer.
