Newly Released Epstein Emails Bring Trump Back Into the Spotlight
Big news has just dropped from Washington. Thousands of pages of documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have been released by the House Oversight Committee, and some of these emails mention former President Donald Trump. The latest release comes after Democrats on the committee shared three email exchanges, including correspondence with Epstein’s long-time associate Ghislaine Maxwell and journalist Michael Wolff, known for his books on Trump. These emails allege that Trump “spent hours” with one of Epstein’s victims, and Epstein even referred to him as “the dog that hasn’t barked.”

Among the newly released material, Michael Wolff exchanged emails with Epstein, apparently seeking guidance for interview questions about Trump. Wolff, at the time, was preparing interviews that could influence public perception of Trump, including one email offering Epstein an opportunity to “come forward and talk about Trump in such a way that could garner sympathy and help finish him,” just days before the 2016 presidential election. In another exchange, they discussed how to respond if Trump was asked about his relationship with Epstein on television, with Wolff advising a strategy that could either harm or help Trump depending on his answers.
Beyond Trump, the documents also shed light on Epstein’s connections with other prominent figures. For instance, emails reveal that Lord Peter Mandelson, a British politician, was in contact with Epstein as late as 2016. These emails indicate discussions about US politics and personal matters, with Mandelson later declining to comment when approached by the media.
The release of over 23,000 pages by the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee adds even more context but also comes with very little explanation, leaving journalists and investigators sifting through countless emails, scanned articles, and internet research screenshots. These revelations arrive just as the House of Representatives prepares for a potential vote on releasing the remaining Epstein files, a decision that could happen as soon as December.
For now, the Epstein saga continues to dominate headlines, creating a whirlwind of political and media scrutiny. The emails involving Wolff, Epstein, Maxwell, and Trump have reignited questions about the former president’s past associations, while the sheer volume of documents hints at even more revelations to come.
