Shocking Elimination on DWTS Week 10: Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas Sent Home
As the excitement for Dancing With the Stars season 34 builds toward its grand finale, there was a surprising twist during Prince Night in the semi-finals. Whitney Leavitt and her partner Mark Ballas, who had consistently wowed the judges and audiences throughout the competition, were eliminated in an unexpected turn of events, leaving fans stunned.
The semi-finals, held on Tuesday night, were packed with emotion as the remaining couples performed two dances each, both set to the music of the late Prince. The first dance featured a ballroom style the contestants had already mastered during previous episodes, while the second performance was a new style they hadn’t yet tackled. Whitney and Mark, who had shown incredible chemistry and skill, were eliminated after impressing the judges with their routines but ultimately falling short in the combined votes and scores.

Leading into this intense episode, the remaining contestants included social media influencer Alix Earle, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, The Traitors winner Dylan Efron, actress Elaine Hendrix, conservationist Robert Irwin, and Whitney herself. Despite their outstanding performances, Whitney and Mark were sent home, leaving just five couples vying for the coveted mirrorball trophy next week.
The elimination came after an action-packed night where Robert Irwin and Witney Carson took the top spot on the leaderboard with a perfect score of 30/30 in their first round of dancing. Robert and Witney's flawless performance put them ahead of the pack, though they were closely followed by Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, as well as Jordan Chiles and her partner Ezra Sosa, both of whom earned perfect scores in the second round.
In fact, this episode marked a milestone for several dancers. Jordan Chiles, for example, achieved her first-ever perfect score, an accomplishment she described as a new chapter in her journey. Alix, too, impressed with her growth on the show, with Val praising her natural talent. But despite all the excitement, it was Whitney and Mark who faced the harsh reality of elimination, despite consistently being top scorers.
As the season nears its final moments, the remaining couples will compete in three intense rounds during the grand finale on November 25. With the stakes higher than ever, fans are eagerly anticipating who will ultimately take home the mirrorball. Whitney’s departure, though heartbreaking for her fans, leaves the stage set for the thrilling conclusion to a season filled with surprises and unforgettable performances.
