WA Day 2025 Set to Bring Perth an Unforgettable Weekend
If you’re gearing up for WA Day 2025, you’re definitely in for one of the biggest and most vibrant celebrations the State has seen. This year, the festival has been planned across two huge days at Burswood Park, and the entire weekend is packed with entertainment, music, food, and family fun — all designed to celebrate what makes Western Australia so special.
Even though the event isn’t happening on the traditional WA Day date, the spirit of celebration hasn’t faded at all. In fact, it’s been doubled down with free daytime festivities, nightly concerts, and a massive WA-themed drone show lighting up the sky on Saturday night. Fireworks will close both evenings, giving everyone that perfect festival finish.
Saturday’s music line-up is strong with homegrown talent. Drapht will headline, supported by acts like OrchXtra with Lucy Durack, Voyager, Boox Kid, Ullah, Smol Fish, and South Summit. Then on Sunday, the nostalgia kicks in as Little Birdy and Jebediah take the stage, joined by Dolce Blue, Mariae Cassandra, Flewnt, and another performance from OrchXtra. For fans of Little Birdy, the band’s recent reunion tour has proved their early-2000s hits haven’t aged a day, and frontwoman Katy Steele has said she hopes the festival will introduce their music to a whole new generation.

The festival isn’t just about music — the entire park will turn into a massive playground of activities. A dedicated family zone, community hub, and almost a dozen free rides have been promised, along with more than 40 showbags, including the iconic Bertie Beetle. Kids will be able to take on fun attractions like the Dream Swinger, Dodgem Drift, Cup and Saucer, and the dizzying Fiesta Balloon ride. One young rider already said she wanted to try it “100 times.”
There’s plenty more action too: BMX pros performing mid-air tricks, skydivers soaring overhead, live theatre by Yirra Yaakin and Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, and an immersive Dreamtime dome called Wadjuk Dreaming that brings cultural stories to life with projection and sound.
Food lovers won’t leave hungry either. More than 50 food trucks will line Perdaman Eat Street, from Chips on a Stick to creamy desserts and creative street dishes. Coles will run a big sausage sizzle aiming to raise $30,000 for Telethon, keeping the community spirit front and centre.
As always, the WA Day Festival is made possible with support from BHP, Lotterywest and the WA Government. With free entry, huge crowds expected, and excellent public transport options, it’s shaping up to be one of the most memorable weekends of the year.
Whether you’re going for the music, the rides, the food, or just to soak up the WA pride, this celebration has something for everyone — and it’s ready to make new memories for families across the State.
