Zinnbauer Urges Caution as JS Kabylie Face El Bayadh Challenge
Josef Zinnbauer, the German coach of JS Kabylie, has made it clear that his side won’t be taking MC El Bayadh lightly when the two teams face off this Monday evening at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou. Although El Bayadh currently sit at the bottom of the league standings, Zinnbauer insists that their position doesn’t reflect their true quality.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Sunday, Zinnbauer said, “They are a good team, and their current ranking doesn’t show their real potential. They won’t come here just to be easy opponents.” He cautioned that JSK should expect a tight and defensive game, similar to what they faced against USM Khenchela, who frustrated them earlier in the season.

Zinnbauer emphasized the importance of starting strong and scoring early to open up space and control the rhythm of the match. “It’s crucial that we find the net quickly. That will give us more room to play and increase our chances of scoring more goals,” he added.
However, JS Kabylie’s preparations haven’t been ideal. The team’s medical room continues to be full, with several key players sidelined due to injury. This growing list of absentees has made life difficult for Zinnbauer, especially with a hectic November schedule ahead. The team will soon begin their African Champions League campaign, with the group stage kicking off in mid-November.
Adding to the challenge, some JSK players are also expected to be called up for national team duties, further stretching the squad. Zinnbauer expressed concern about maintaining proper preparation standards under such a packed calendar. “It’s becoming hard to train according to professional norms when matches come one after another,” he said, urging the league authorities to create a more balanced schedule that reduces the risk of injuries.
Reflecting on their recent draw away to JS Saoura, Zinnbauer admitted his frustration but turned his attention to broader issues, calling for consistency in refereeing decisions. With no VAR system in place, he stressed that referees must rely on sound judgment, especially in critical penalty-box situations.
As for the upcoming Champions League draw, the German coach maintained a calm but determined outlook. “Every team that reaches this stage deserves to be here. Whoever we face, the goal remains the same — to advance beyond the group stage,” he concluded confidently.
For JS Kabylie fans, the message is clear: while challenges lie ahead, their coach remains focused, cautious, and ready to push his team to compete on both domestic and continental fronts.
