During Saturday's World Junior Championship game between Team USA and Switzerland, an alarming incident occurred when defenseman Cole Hutson was struck in the head by a puck. The hit happened in the second period, leading to Hutson being immediately stretchered off the ice. Despite the severity of the moment, Hutson remained conscious and alert throughout the ordeal.
After being taken to the hospital for further evaluation, Hutson was thankfully discharged once doctors confirmed he was stable.
