Delta Goodrem’s Christmas Supergroup Moment Is So Fetch
So, in what honestly feels like a festive pop culture miracle, Delta Goodrem has gone and done something nobody knew they needed, but now can’t stop talking about. During her sixth annual Christmas With Delta TV special, it was revealed that she formed an all-Aussie pop supergroup, and the result was pure nostalgia, joy, and chaos in the best possible way.
For this year’s show, Delta was joined by Sophie Monk, Samantha Jade, and Amy Shark to perform a very familiar holiday classic, “Jingle Bell Rock.” But this wasn’t just any Christmas cover. The entire performance was styled as a playful recreation of the iconic Mean Girls Christmas talent show scene, and yes, it was delivered with full commitment. Matching outfits were worn, knee-high boots were strutting, Santa hats were firmly in place, and the vibe was unapologetically fun.

The scene was made even better by The Block winner Mitch Edwards, who stepped into the role of the wildly enthusiastic Mrs George. Camcorder in hand, he filmed the whole thing with the perfect level of awkward energy, just like in the movie. It was all so self-aware and joyful that it instantly became one of those performances people rewind just to watch again.
Musically, the group absolutely delivered. The harmonies were tight, the vocals were pitch-perfect, and the choreography paid tribute to the original scene without taking itself too seriously. A standout moment came when Samantha Jade kicked the CD player aside mid-performance, forcing the group to continue a cappella. Just like the film, the moment felt chaotic but somehow flawless, with the singers blending together effortlessly.
While this kind of girl-group energy was a fun switch-up for Amy Shark, Sophie Monk looked completely at home, reminding everyone of her Bardot days. Behind-the-scenes footage later shared by Delta showed the group rehearsing and laughing together, with Delta admitting she had always wanted to be in a girl group. Honestly, the dream was clearly lived out.
Now, while this was technically a one-off Christmas performance, it’s hard not to imagine more. All four artists have nothing left to prove individually, which makes the idea of a seasonal supergroup even more appealing. A streaming release of their “Jingle Bell Rock” cover, a full Christmas album, or even a limited holiday tour suddenly feels like a very reasonable wish list.
As for a name, Delta’s own hashtag might already have it sorted. Nice Girls. Fetch? Absolutely.
