Nintendo Direct Announced for June 9

After a bit of a quiet spell since last September, the company has officially announced that a major Nintendo Direct presentation is happening tomorrow, June 9th. This is the first general Direct of the year and it's set to give us a significant look at what Nintendo has planned for the rest of 2026. The presentation promises about 50 minutes of content, which is a good chunk of time to reveal some highly anticipated titles.
This upcoming Direct is particularly important because it will focus on games coming to both the current Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Other potential reveals could include updates on existing franchises or entirely new intellectual properties. Given the focus on both Switch and Switch 2, we might see some impressive graphical leaps demonstrated or even games designed to leverage the unique capabilities of the new console.
