Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, has tragically passed away at the age of 33. The news of his death was confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. Quan, best known for his hit singles "Type of Way" and "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)," passed away on Thursday at Grady Memorial Hospital. The exact cause of his death has not yet been disclosed, with an autopsy scheduled for the following day.
Rich Homie Quan played a pivotal role in the rise of Atlanta's trap hip-hop scene. His melodic style, characterized by catchy hooks and emotional depth, earned him a place among the era's influential artists. His breakout single "Type of Way," released in 2013, became an anthem and showcased his unique ability to blend rap with a melodic sensibility.
