Missing Camp Pendleton Marine Lance Cpl. Bailey Cameron Found Alive on Base

The search for Lance Cpl. Bailey Cameron, a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, has taken a positive turn. After weeks of uncertainty, Carlsbad Police confirmed that the missing Marine is alive and was recently spotted on base. Cameron had been missing since August 25, after being last seen leaving the Coyote Bar & Grill in Carlsbad around 1:30 a.m. This sparked concern among family, friends, and his command, leading to an extensive search.

According to the Carlsbad Police Department, investigators recently learned that Cameron was on the Camp Pendleton Marine Base and had been seen by officers. Attempts were made to contact him, but he reportedly evaded authorities. While his exact situation remains unclear, police have ruled out foul play, stating that there is no evidence suggesting he is in danger or under duress. Despite this, Cameron's family remains deeply concerned, as they have not had any direct contact with him since his disappearance.

Cameron’s mother, Juliana England, has been vocal throughout the search, expressing both hope and frustration. Although she is relieved to hear that her son is alive, the lack of communication continues to trouble her. “There’s definitely peace in knowing that he’s alive,” she shared in a recent interview, but her plea to bring him home safely remains unchanged. England sent a heartfelt message to her son, assuring him of her unconditional love: “There is absolutely nothing in this world that could ever make me love you less. I just want to hold you in my arms.”

The family has been working with The RAD Movement, a group specializing in missing persons cases, to locate Cameron. Even though Carlsbad Police are no longer leading the investigation, they have handed over his belongings, which were found in Carlsbad, to his parents, signaling the closing of their involvement.

The Marine Corps Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has now taken over the case, continuing efforts to make contact with Cameron and ensure his safety. Family, friends, and supporters remain hopeful for a resolution, encouraging the public to come forward with any information that may help reunite Cameron with his loved ones.

As the situation develops, Cameron’s family continues to hold onto hope that he will soon return home, safe and sound.
