At the 2024 Better Choice Awards gala on October 2, VinFast VF 6 made headlines by winning the prestigious "Best First-Time Car" award. This achievement underscores the brand's continued innovation and consumer-focused approach, making it a standout choice for first-time car buyers. The event, hosted by the National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with VCCorp, aimed to honor groundbreaking products and brands that significantly enhance everyday life. VinFast VF 6 captured attention for its affordable pricing, advanced technology, and user-friendly features, positioning it as an ideal entry-level vehicle.
The "Best First-Time Car" category is designed to recognize vehicles that offer a balance of affordability, ease of use, and essential features such as safety, comfort, and low maintenance costs. For first-time buyers, the right car must provide a stress-free and comfortable driving experience, and the VF 6 does just that. Among 11 competitors, the VF 6 stood out, earning a total score of 2.622 points, thanks to a solid combination of affordability, ease of operation, and the inclusion of modern technologies.

The judging panel, consisting of industry experts and consumers, praised the VinFast VF 6 for its excellent design, cutting-edge features, and overall value for money. One of the experts, Nguyễn Mạnh Thắng, highlighted that the VF 6 excels in terms of price, design, and performance, making it a top choice in its class. The car boasts a sleek, attractive design and a powerful electric engine producing up to 210 horsepower—significantly higher than many competitors in the B-segment CUV class.
Another judge, PGS. TS Đàm Hoàng Phúc, noted that the VF 6's accessible price point allows more people to experience the advantages of electric vehicles. He also emphasized how the VF 6 is gaining popularity not just as a personal vehicle but also for service-oriented uses. The ease of access to VinFast's extensive charging infrastructure, along with its nationwide network of service centers, makes it a highly practical choice for those new to owning a car.
The VF 6's appeal extends beyond its price and power. It is packed with state-of-the-art features such as a 12.9-inch central touchscreen, a heads-up display (HUD), and automatic climate control with air filtration. Moreover, the car includes VinFast's advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), which offer safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and emergency lane-keeping—enhancing both the comfort and safety of the driving experience.
