Warriors Face Pelicans Without Steph Curry Due to Ankle Injury

Coach Steve Kerr, while optimistic about Curry’s recovery, emphasized caution. He noted that Curry has sprained his ankle multiple times before, adding to the need for careful management. MRI results were favorable, showing no structural damage, but the Warriors are taking no risks with Curry’s health. If the strain is mild, Curry may need just a week or two of recovery, but a more severe strain could sideline him for weeks. This injury, at Curry’s age and wear level, calls for cautious monitoring to prevent long-term issues. Kerr described Curry’s outlook as "moderate," acknowledging that while Curry doesn’t consider it a major injury, his health is still a top concern.
For the Warriors, this means additional pressure on players like Jonathan Kuminga, who has recently adopted a more ambitious mindset in his role off the bench. With Curry out, players like Kuminga and young talent Moses Moody will have to step up and deliver for the team.
