Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia’s Breakup Takes the Spotlight With $12 Million NDA Offer
Country singer Zach Bryan and podcast host Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s relationship has taken a controversial turn, capturing attention due to an alleged $12 million non-disclosure agreement (NDA) offered by Bryan to LaPaglia after their recent breakup. Bryan, 29, announced in October that the couple had split, following a year-long relationship that LaPaglia, 25, now describes as a challenging and emotionally charged experience.
In her recent appearance on the "BFFs Podcast," which she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, LaPaglia disclosed that Bryan's team approached her after their breakup, offering her a sizable financial settlement if she signed an NDA. She claims she declined the offer, stating her decision was a stand against what she described as emotional abuse during the relationship. Without delving into specific incidents, she explained that the financial offer was intended to buy her silence on the nature of their relationship, which she felt was an unacceptable proposal.

LaPaglia recounted that during their time together, she experienced a repeated cycle of Bryan’s controlling and emotionally intense behavior. Describing how the relationship affected her deeply, she noted that she is still in the process of recovering and even feels “rewired” by her experience. Her decision not to sign the NDA, she said, represents her effort to speak out for those who may feel silenced in similar situations.
Bryan has not publicly responded to LaPaglia's allegations. However, after announcing the breakup last month, he acknowledged the difficulty of the past year and shared that the decision to part ways was mutual. Bryan expressed respect for LaPaglia, and he requested privacy from fans and media alike as they both move on.
The former couple's split has also fueled public drama, particularly on social media. Dave Portnoy, LaPaglia’s podcast co-host, went so far as to release a diss track about Bryan titled “Smallest Man,” which included pointed lyrics about Bryan’s behavior post-breakup. This track was later removed from streaming platforms, reportedly due to interference by Warner Music Group, which represents Bryan.
While Bryan continues his music career, recently releasing a song titled "High Road," which appears to touch on the pain of a failed relationship, LaPaglia seems focused on finding closure. Her decision to speak openly has resonated with many, especially those who may relate to her experience of standing against alleged mistreatment. The unfolding events have drawn attention not just from fans, but from the broader public, amplifying ongoing conversations about privacy, celebrity relationships, and the pressures associated with fame.
