Garfield revealed that their collaboration had been a long time coming. Although he was once considered for a role in Guadagnino’s I Am Love , the timing didn’t work out. However, Garfield's admiration for the director is clear. “Luca is a master,” he said, “and our brotherhood was cemented” during their recent collaboration on an upcoming film. For Garfield, these long-term relationships with talented filmmakers are the bedrock of his career.
