In return, Montreal acquires 28-year-old Alexandre Carrier, a defenceman from Quebec City. Carrier, drafted by the Predators in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Draft, has played 245 games with Nashville over the years, contributing 11 goals and 58 assists. This season, Carrier has registered one goal and six assists in 28 games. The Canadiens will be hoping that Carrier can bring added stability to their blue line and provide the team with more depth as they continue their season.
