Gizelle Bryant Opens Up About Emotional Legal Battle Over Her Father’s Will
In a recent update, reality star Gizelle Bryant from The Real Housewives of Potomac shared a heartfelt and troubling account of her ongoing legal issues surrounding her late father’s will. Curtis Graves, Bryant’s father, passed away in 2023 following a battle with brain cancer, leaving behind a complex estate situation that has been emotionally taxing for her and her family.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen , Bryant revealed that the legal process remains unresolved, with depositions taking place as recently as this month. This struggle stems from what she alleges to be a fraudulent will, which surfaced shortly after her father underwent brain surgery. Bryant claims the document, supposedly signed by Graves, is inconsistent with his physical and mental state at the time. She has contested this will, which, if validated, would leave nothing to her or her children, contrary to what she believes were her father’s wishes.
Bryant recounted the emotional toll of explaining the situation to her three daughters, Grace, Angel, and Adore. She shared with them that the original will might have been discarded intentionally and described the difficulty of navigating a legal challenge that threatens to erase her family’s rightful inheritance. In Georgia, where her father’s estate is being contested, the absence of a valid will would entitle his children to two-thirds of the estate. However, the disputed document negates this entirely.
“It’s all very painful,” Bryant admitted, reflecting on how her father, who strongly advocated for generational wealth, would have been deeply disheartened by this ordeal. “Nothing was left to me, and nothing was left to his grandchildren, who were probably more important to him than anyone,” she added.
The experience has been a stark reminder of the importance of clear and protected estate planning. For Bryant, it is not just about the assets but ensuring her father’s legacy and values are upheld. As fans of RHOP tune in to follow this emotional chapter, Bryant’s resilience shines through despite the evident heartache.
