Lady C Calls Out 'Misogynist' Campmate and Slams 'Too Harmonious' 2024 Series
Lady Colin Campbell, the outspoken author and socialite, has stirred up fresh controversy with a scathing criticism of her former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! campmates, calling one of them a "misogynist" and unleashing a series of criticisms about her time on the hit ITV reality show. Appearing on GB News, Lady C shared her thoughts on this year’s series and opened up about her own experiences in the jungle, particularly her infamous clashes with former campmate Duncan Bannatyne.
Reflecting on the 2024 edition of the show, Lady C remarked that the series felt "too harmonious," especially when compared to the chaotic atmosphere of the 2015 season, in which she appeared. She pointed out that the campmates this year lacked the fiery personalities that made her series so memorable. "It’s a lot more harmonious than the series that I was on, that’s for sure," she said. However, the most striking part of her interview came when she addressed the tension that arose during her own time in the jungle, specifically with Bannatyne, the Dragons' Den star.

Lady C described Bannatyne as a "misogynist," suggesting that his behavior was a major source of conflict during her stint on the show. "I think you need more characters like Duncan Bannatyne to set the campmates against the oldest woman in the camp, and show what a jerk and misogynist is, which is what he did so demonstrably well," Lady C said. She made it clear that, by the end of her experience, she had grown "fed up" with all her fellow contestants, underscoring the difficult dynamics that led to her eventual frustration.
Despite the tension, Lady C admitted that the drama likely contributed to the public’s affection for her, as her fiery nature endeared her to viewers. "The British people like somebody who's feisty," she said. "It made for good television, and it ultimately did me absolutely no harm." Lady C also reflected on how her actions were often misrepresented in the editing, claiming that she was unfairly portrayed as "ratty" when, in fact, she was simply defending herself from bullying.
On the topic of Bushtucker Trials , Lady C also revealed that she had refused to participate in one of the more intense challenges—being buried alive—due to traumatic family history involving violent deaths. She recounted her experience of informing producers that she would not take part in the trial, citing personal reasons tied to her family’s history with violence. "My grandfather was murdered, my brother-in-law was murdered... I said, no, I cannot do certain things," she explained. While she acknowledged that this may have made for "good television," it was clear that her refusal was driven by deep personal trauma.
Lady C’s comments about the current series and her own time in the jungle provide a fascinating glimpse into the complex dynamics behind the scenes of one of Britain’s most popular reality shows. Whether you agree with her assessment or not, it’s clear that Lady C has no intention of holding back when it comes to speaking her mind about her time on I'm A Celebrity .
