Mark Henry, a WWE Hall of Famer, has always been known for his powerful presence in the ring and his unforgettable career. During a recent interview on "Busted Open Radio," Henry recalled the time when someone pranked him by supergluing his shower shoes to the floor. Henry, known for his larger-than-life personality, shared the story with a mix of frustration and amusement. "Dave, you know I wear a size 16 shoe," Henry said. "It’s hard as hell to find a 16 shoe, and one of them bastards — I don’t know, I didn’t find out who did it — superglued my damn shower shoes to the floor!" The pranksters went all in, using solvent to try and remove the shoes, but it was no use. In the end, they had to use a razor to cut the shoes off, making sure not to damage the floor in the process. Henry couldn’t help but laugh about the situation now, but at the time, he was undoubtedly more than a little annoyed by the stunt.
This wasn’t the only prank that had Henry scratching his head. Another time, while recovering from an injury, his crutches mysteriously disappeared, leaving him in a rather awkward situation. He was instructed not to "sell it" and to simply "watch the show," but Henry found it hard to contain his frustration as the time passed. "How do you think my headspace was when my crutches went missing, and I’m trying to not sell it?" Henry joked. The situation became even more difficult when he realized he had to use the restroom. "I’ve got a cast up to my thigh, I can’t move," he explained. "I’m sitting at the monitor for two hours, and I’ve gotta go pee. I’m like, ‘Listen, man, I gotta go to the bathroom or somebody get me a garbage can and I’ll pee right here.'" Despite the inconvenience, he took the prank in stride, even if it tested his patience.
These stories offer a glimpse into the world of professional wrestling, where backstage pranks are as much a part of the culture as the action in the ring. For Henry, though, it was all part of the fun. His legendary career with WWE is full of moments like these, which fans and fellow wrestlers alike still talk about today. As Mark Henry continues to share his experiences, it's clear that, in addition to being one of the strongest men in the world, he also has a great sense of humor that has helped him navigate even the most frustrating of pranks.
