Tyler Seguin to Miss 4-6 Months for Dallas Stars Due to Hip Injury
In a disappointing turn of events for the Dallas Stars, veteran forward Tyler Seguin will be sidelined for 4-6 months following a hip injury that requires surgery. The 32-year-old will undergo a procedure on Thursday to repair a femoralacetabular impingement and address damage to his left hip labrum. Seguin, a key figure for the Stars this season, was placed on injured reserve after a solid performance against the Winnipeg Jets. In the 3-1 victory, he played 15 minutes and 8 seconds, finishing with a plus-2 rating. Unfortunately, the injury has taken a serious toll, keeping him out for an extended period.
Seguin's absence is a significant blow to the Stars, as he's been one of their top performers so far this season. With 20 points (nine goals and 11 assists) in just 19 games, Seguin ranks third on the team in scoring and has posted a plus-14 rating.
