Caroline Kennedy Slams Cousin RFK Jr. as 'Predator' Ahead of Confirmation Hearing
Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of President John F. Kennedy, is making waves once again by speaking out against her cousin, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., ahead of his confirmation hearing for the role of Health and Human Services Secretary. In a blunt and harshly worded letter sent to lawmakers, Caroline warned of the dangers posed by Robert, accusing him of being a "predator" and calling his actions hypocritical and harmful. The letter, which was sent ahead of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s confirmation hearing scheduled for Wednesday, appears to be an attempt to sway senators before they decide on his appointment.
In her letter, Caroline, who has known Robert her entire life, didn’t hold back. She likened him to a predator, comparing him to the birds of prey he keeps as pets. "I have known Bobby my whole life; we grew up together. It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because he himself is a predator," she wrote. Her accusations were grave, claiming that Robert’s victims have included family members and even parents of sick children. One of the most contentious points Caroline raised was Robert's infamous stance on vaccinations. She argued that his vocal campaign against vaccines was not only dangerous but had been financially beneficial to him, accusing him of hypocrisy by urging parents to avoid vaccinating their children while he vaccinated his own.

Caroline’s letter also revealed her concerns about the negative influence Robert’s views had on other members of the Kennedy family. She alleged that he had led some family members down the path of drug addiction, adding yet another layer of personal betrayal in her eyes. In her message, she mentioned that both her father, President John F. Kennedy, and her late uncle, former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, would be "disgusted" by his actions and beliefs.
Despite her longstanding reluctance to speak out publicly against her family, Caroline made it clear that her cousin's potential appointment to a major government role left her with no choice. She felt a moral obligation to share her concerns with the public, especially considering Robert’s controversial views on vaccines and his proposed role in overseeing public health policies. Caroline had previously warned the public about her cousin’s conspiratorial ideas, including after delivering a speech to the National Press Club in Australia. There, she called his stance on vaccines "dangerous," reflecting a sentiment that many share.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been one of former President Donald Trump’s most controversial cabinet picks. His anti-vaccine views have drawn significant criticism, not just from Democrats but from Republicans as well. Some GOP senators who support Trump have raised concerns about Robert’s position on vaccines, understanding how crucial the confirmation process will be. With only a small margin for error, Kennedy can afford to lose no more than three Republican votes if he is to secure the position.
In this tense political climate, Caroline Kennedy’s words add another layer of complexity to the debate. With her family’s legacy at stake, her call to action to lawmakers serves as a stark reminder of the deep divisions within the Kennedy family over Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s controversial stances and political ambitions.
