BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara is stepping into a dazzling new role as Roxie Hart in the UK and Ireland tour of Chicago . Known for her elegance and charisma, Janette has thrilled fans as both a professional dancer on Strictly (2013–2021) and as a host of its spin-off It Takes Two . Now, in a career-defining move, she’s taking the stage in a theatrical debut that promises to bring all the "razzle-dazzle" audiences could hope for.
Janette announced the big news on Instagram, sharing her excitement about joining the iconic production. She wrote, “This is a dream come true! To have my musical theatre debut playing the iconic Roxie Hart is so exciting.” Fans and fellow Strictly stars immediately flooded social media with messages of love and support. The Chicago tour begins in Southend on March 3, 2025, before hitting cities across the UK and Ireland, including a stint at The Lowry in Salford from August 25–30.
