South Korea Plane Fire at Busan Airport Triggers Mass Evacuation

A Jeju Air flight crash-landed at Muan Airport in the country’s southwest, tragically killing 179 people. The crash left the nation reeling, and now, this latest emergency is raising serious concerns about air travel safety in South Korea.
Air Busan, a budget airline under Asiana Airlines, has not yet released an official statement regarding the fire. However, Airbus has acknowledged the incident and stated that they are working closely with the airline to understand the circumstances. Korean Air, which recently acquired Asiana Airlines, has also directed inquiries to Air Busan.
Busan’s Gimhae International Airport, located about 315 km southeast of Seoul, was thrown into chaos as emergency crews rushed to contain the situation.
