Sunday night into Monday, the storm’s wintry weather will reach the mid-Atlantic region, affecting cities like Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia. Morning commuters on Monday in these areas should prepare for treacherous conditions as snow and ice blanket roadways.
Forecasts indicate snowfall totals of six inches or more in some regions, particularly from northeast Kansas to parts of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. Light to moderate snowfall is expected further east, but exact accumulations in the mid-Atlantic remain uncertain.
