Crystal Palace Dominates Aston Villa in Thrilling 4-1 Victory
Wow, what a game at Selhurst Park! Crystal Palace absolutely ran the show against Aston Villa, securing a commanding 4-1 victory in front of their home fans. From start to finish, Palace looked confident, composed, and, most importantly, clinical in front of goal.
It all started in the 29th minute when Ismaïla Sarr broke the deadlock, giving Palace the lead with a well-taken goal. The first half ended 1-0, with Aston Villa struggling to create any real threat going forward. But as the second half kicked off, things got even more exciting.

Villa found an equalizer in the 52nd minute through Morgan Rogers, giving them a glimmer of hope. However, that hope didn’t last long. Just seven minutes later, Jean-Philippe Mateta struck back for Palace, restoring their lead in the 59th minute. From there, it was all one-way traffic.
Sarr added his second goal in the 71st minute, making it 3-1, before Eddie Nketiah sealed the deal in stoppage time with a goal in the 91st minute. The final whistle blew, and it was clear—Crystal Palace had completely outclassed Aston Villa on the night.
Statistically, Palace may have had less possession, with just 35.8% compared to Villa’s 64.2%, but they made every moment count. They registered 19 shots to Villa’s 5 and had an xG (expected goals) of 3.82—showing just how dominant they were in attack. Defensively, they were sharp too, winning 22 tackles and keeping Villa limited to just one shot on target all game.
Selhurst Park was absolutely buzzing, and this win could be a huge confidence boost for Palace as they continue their Premier League campaign. Villa, on the other hand, will have to regroup and figure out where it all went wrong.
What a performance from the Eagles!
