Lewis Hamilton is embracing life at Ferrari, and he’s loving every bit of it! The seven-time world champion, who made the high-profile switch from Mercedes to the Scuderia this season, is already making waves in pre-season testing in Bahrain. On day two, Hamilton clocked the second-fastest time of the session, just 0.031 seconds behind Williams’ Carlos Sainz. That’s right—Hamilton is already looking comfortable in red.

Speaking after his session, Hamilton couldn't hide his excitement: "I am really enjoying the car. We're slowly bonding. Yesterday was okay, but today felt much better. I’m getting to explore my interaction with my engineer, and everything is falling into place."

That’s a pretty big statement from Hamilton, considering he’s spent over a decade with Mercedes. This transition was always going to be a major talking point, and so far, it looks like he’s adjusting quickly. His Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc, who took over the car in the afternoon session, wasn’t far behind either—just 0.052 seconds off Hamilton’s time.

However, testing is never the full picture. Teams are running different fuel loads, engine settings, and strategies, so lap times alone don’t tell the entire story. But still, Hamilton being this fast this early? That’s got to be a confidence boost for Ferrari.

Elsewhere, Mercedes had a solid showing, with George Russell finishing fourth and young talent Andrea Kimi Antonelli in fifth. Red Bull, on the other hand, didn’t have Max Verstappen in the car for this session. Instead, Liam Lawson took over and finished seventh, as the team continues to fine-tune their setup before Verstappen jumps in on the final day.

McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri might not have topped the timing sheets, but don’t be fooled—Norris’ long-run pace was seriously impressive. He was consistently faster than Ferrari and Mercedes in race simulations, which could be a sign that McLaren is playing their cards close to their chest.

As for Williams, Carlos Sainz grabbing the fastest time was a nice moment, but even their team boss, James Vowles, admitted they’re still not quite in the mix with Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes. “The top four teams have done great work over the winter, and the midfield battle is going to be incredibly tight,” he said.

One thing’s for sure—this season is shaping up to be an epic battle. Hamilton looks right at home at Ferrari, Red Bull is still an unknown force, and McLaren might just be the dark horse to watch. With the first race in Australia just around the corner, all eyes are on Bahrain as the teams push their machines to the limit.

Will Hamilton’s Ferrari fairytale continue? Or is Red Bull just waiting to unleash their true power? We’ll find out soon enough!
