Hey everyone, it's time to recognize the incredible talent on the ice! The South Shore high school girls' hockey scene is buzzing with excitement as we celebrate the top players of the week. These athletes are putting up big numbers, making game-changing plays, and giving their all for their teams. And now, it's your turn to have a say in who takes home the title of Chick-fil-A Hanover High School Girls Hockey Player of the Week!
Last week, Cam Dematos of Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake took the honor after a stellar performance, earning over 23,000 votes from fans. The sophomore forward delivered a hat trick in a 6-2 victory over Cambridge Rindge & Latin, proving to be a key player for her team.
This week, we’ve got a fresh list of standout athletes who have shown incredible skill and determination on the ice. Here are the nominees:

- Bucks Trade Khris Middleton to Wizards for Kyle Kuzma in Surprising Move

- Mia Dunphy (Soph., Pembroke) – Helped secure a big win with a shutout in a 3-0 victory over Hanover.
- Caroline Doherty (Sr., Hingham) – A historic moment as she broke the school record for career points in an 8-0 win over Quincy/North Quincy. The previous record stood at 209 points!
- Julie Murphy (Fr., Archbishop Williams) – A breakout performance, scoring a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Bishop Fenwick.
Now, let’s talk about this week’s past winner, Kayla Leonard of Marshfield High! She secured the top spot with over 31,000 votes after scoring the game-winning overtime goal in a 2-1 victory over Plymouth North/Plymouth South.

- Hannah D’Angelo (Jr., Pembroke) – Scored a hat trick in a 4-3 battle against Sandwich.
- Jenna Henley (8th grade, Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake) – A young star with three goals and three assists in a 6-2 win over Cambridge Rindge & Latin. She also scored twice in a 5-0 win over Hanover.
