Adding to their confidence, Perth is on a four-game winning streak and finally has a fully fit roster. Imports Dylan Windler, Bryce Cotton, Kristian Doolittle, and Tai Webster are all in form after overcoming injuries earlier in the season. Rillie emphasized the importance of defensive matchups, highlighting Windler’s versatility and Doolittle’s determination to shut down top performers.
On the other side, Melbourne United comes into this matchup well-rested but possibly facing a rhythm challenge after a 19-day break since their last game. They finished the regular season strong, securing the second seed with a win over SEM Phoenix. United also holds a 3-0 record against Perth this season, but the Wildcats were missing key players in those encounters.
The return of former NBA forward Jack White is a major boost for United. White has been a force on the boards, averaging 9.44 rebounds per game, while also contributing 13.8 points. Meanwhile, veteran shooter Chris Goulding remains a major threat, having torched the Wildcats for 43 points earlier in the season. Perth will also have to contend with the leadership of NBA champion Matthew Dellavedova, the inside presence of Marcus Lee, and the defensive tenacity of Shea Ili.
