Alex Jones-Linked Company Pushes for Infowars Assets in $8M Bid

The ongoing legal battles surrounding Alex Jones and his media platform, Infowars, have taken another twist. A company linked to Jones, First United American Cos., is making another attempt to acquire the assets of Free Speech Systems LLC, Infowars' parent company, with a renewed $8 million bid. This move comes after a series of legal hurdles, including a judge’s rejection of a bid from satirical news site The Onion and the recent shutdown of the auction process.

First United, which operates the supplement store website ShopAlexJones.com , has more than doubled its initial offer of $3.5 million. Despite Judge Christopher Lopez previously stating that he wanted to avoid another complex auction, the company is pushing forward, arguing that the court’s recent ruling shouldn’t impact its bid. The bankruptcy trustee overseeing the case, Christopher Murray, has yet to respond to First United’s latest offer.

The legal and financial situation surrounding Infowars is complicated. Jones has been ordered to pay over $1.3 billion in damages due to his false claims about the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting , which he repeatedly described as a hoax. With such massive financial liabilities, the value of Free Speech Systems’ equity is difficult to determine. First United argues that this uncertainty makes a direct asset purchase a more viable option.

Adding to the complexity, the bankruptcy trustee has been managing deposit returns from previous bidders. The Onion had placed a significant bid for Infowars but was ultimately denied by the court. Now, First United is making another push, hoping to secure the assets despite the court's reluctance to restart an auction.

The future of Infowars remains uncertain. Will the court approve this bid, or will Jones’ financial troubles continue to block any potential revival of his controversial media empire? Only time will tell as this high-stakes legal battle unfolds.
