This year, the theme is "For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment." It’s a powerful reminder that while progress has been made, the fight for equal rights is far from over.

One inspiring example of this movement is Adhika Incorporated , a group founded by Filipino community leader Josie Musa in Australia. For the past decade, Adhika has been organizing events to honor Filipino women and young girls who have made significant contributions to society. In partnership with Kababaihang Rizalista Incorporated (KRI) - Sydney Chapter , they have created the International Women’s Day Honours List to recognize outstanding women and girls who demonstrate leadership, courage, and service to their communities.
This year’s celebration includes the 2025 International Women’s Day Forum and Dinner , set to take place on March 15 at Dooleys Catholic Club in Regents Park, New South Wales. International Women’s Day is more than a celebration—it’s a call to action. It’s a reminder that equality is not just a women’s issue but a societal one. Whether through supporting women-led initiatives, advocating for equal rights, or simply recognizing the achievements of women in our own communities, we all have a role to play.
Let’s use this day to amplify women’s voices, break down barriers, and push for a future where every woman and girl has the freedom to dream, lead, and succeed .
