Khloé Kardashian is keeping a tough but heartfelt secret from her daughter, True. In a new episode of The Kardashians , she revealed that her six-year-old still doesn’t know that her parents are no longer together. Khloé explained that she wants to protect her kids from adult issues for as long as possible, ensuring that True grows up with a positive outlook on love and family.
Even though she and Tristan Thompson share two children—True, 6, and Tatum, 2—Khloé believes that right now, it’s not necessary for True to know about their split. “Kids should not be involved in adult problems,” she said during the episode. While she stands by this decision, she does admit she worries about how her daughter perceives relationships. "Oh, you’re married to someone, but they don’t live with you, you never have to kiss them, or you don’t sleep in the same bed together," she reflected. Despite the complicated situation, she still wants her children to grow up believing in love, romance, and strong family values.
Khloé and Tristan’s relationship has been anything but simple. They first got together in 2016 and had a highly publicized on-and-off relationship. Unfortunately, their love story was repeatedly overshadowed by Tristan’s cheating scandals. Just before True’s birth, Tristan was caught being unfaithful, and their relationship continued to face similar challenges in the years that followed. The final breaking point came in 2022 when Tristan confirmed he had fathered a child with another woman. At the time, he publicly apologized to Khloé, saying, “You don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.”
Despite everything, Khloé has made it clear that she harbors no resentment. She remains focused on raising her children in a loving and stable environment, even if that means keeping certain truths from them until the right time. It’s a delicate balance, but for Khloé, their happiness and innocence come first.
