Kloucek lost his life in a skiing accident in Spindleruv Mlyn, Czechia, on Sunday. His wife, Barbara Klouckova, confirmed the heartbreaking news via Instagram, sharing an emotional message about the loss of her husband, father of their children, and beloved friend. She requested privacy during this difficult time, as the family grapples with the devastating loss.

Kloucek was selected by the New York Rangers in the fifth round of the 1998 NHL Draft. Over the course of his career, he played 141 NHL games, representing the Rangers, the Nashville Predators, and the Atlanta Thrashers. A tough and reliable defenseman, he contributed with two goals and eight assists during his time in the league. His physical play and defensive mindset made him a valuable player on the ice, while his dedication and sportsmanship earned him respect off of it.

Following his NHL career, Kloucek continued playing professionally, returning to his home country of Czechia. He played for several teams, including Slavia Praha, HC Zlin, Bili Tygri Liberec, and Ocelari Trinec.
